I haven't been taking much "work in progress" photos of my work lately, but it's still nice to see how the paintings evolved during the days (and weeks). It helps me learn a lot from them, after they're finished. Most importantly - when to stop.
1. The Return
This painting evolved so much since the initial sketch. You can almost say I did three completely different paintings.
I've never painted a cityscape of this size before. I also discovered that painting straight lines is more challenging than painting faces.
Painting this wasn't easy, but it felt like the painting was leading itself to its finish...
